​The Digital Skills Network has been established for some time and has on several occasions helped to inform policy and deliver action to tackle some of the digital and tech ecosystem's sticky challenges.

During the March 2023 Digital Strategy Advisory Board meeting, it was noted that there was need for enhanced coordination and a more joined up, strategic focus on tackling issues around skills within the digital and tech industry. In addition, the Digital Strategy has several objectives across its 5-year timeframe that have been informed by members of the Digital Skills Network.

With the Digital Strategy being an external plan for the whole city – the Digital Strategy team and Board and the Work and Skills team feel it timely to host some space for conversation with members on the network. To relook at what has been set, what the current landscape looks like and discuss how to move towards creating some clear and tangible activities for the second year of the Delivery Plan.
