In all the work Forward Role produces and delivers the best compliment we could receive would be the methods, structures and models used are repeated and adapted by those who lead the groups/classes.
We aim to make all our programmes of work sustainable by offering training events either prior or post contact time, depending on the project.
"by using drama and creative learning techniques across the curriculum some subjects or topics will become more accessible"Gillian Crawford,
Forward Role Forward Role is aware that by using drama and creative learning techniques across the curriculum some subjects or topics will become more accessible to young people. We want to share this practice and develop the skills of those teachers, youth workers and educators who also believe in the value of drama.
The training events offer a practical learning experience for all individuals working with young people. We aim to develop a professional capability and confidence in using drama. Our training events have a customised resource pack as well as a drama specialist being on-hand to give advice and support when required.
As well as training events to accompany programmes of work Forward Role also offers customised one-off training events. These events have covered the following areas of work:
- Drama in the classroom (Primary/Secondary)
- Forum Theatre techniques (supported by professional actors)
- Storytelling
- Circle time games
- Role-play and Teacher-in-Role techniques
- Devising a performance
