I’m a strong believer that the heathier you are, the better you perform in all areas of life.

Considering one third of your life is spent at work, I would say it has a big influence over your mental and physical health. It is so easy to work in an office and snack on biscuits, eat chips for lunch and not move from your desk all day, get very stressed or really bored. However, that isn’t going to help anyone, you're most likely not going to be performing at your best in your job. Eating a bad diet, being sedentary and not taking some time out for you can be detrimental to your mental and physical health.

That’s why Forward Role are embracing the importance of Wellness and trying to help the team find their balance.

Forward Role has always been a pretty good place to work with the great people, awesome offices with pool table and a bar, social events, trips abroad, incentives, chance to go to the gym at lunch. But now we are taking it that little step further, so everyone has the chance to really improve themselves, by getting fit, healthy and zen.

In October I became a certified Personal Trainer – I love moving, and I love food. I’m passionate about mental wellbeing and helping people maintain a healthy body through nutrition and exercise. But most importantly, keeping a balance and having loads of fun along the way.

It is my mission to get the Forward Rollers moving more, eating better and being more mindful!

Whilst it is important to concentrate on ourselves and practice self-love, we wanted to give something back too. So, we have teamed up with Forever Manchester to support community projects across Greater Manchester.

Some of the team at FR are putting on their running shoes and raising money for the Manchester 10k next month, later in the year we will be getting muddy and taking on Tough Mudder. These are great team bonding opportunities too!
