B2B Marketing Salary Snapshot

Following on from our executive level salary insights research, we have continued to analyse our historic placement data from 2018 to highlight some of the biggest changes to the Business-to-Business (B2B) marketing sector in the North of England.

Overall, Forward Role recorded a 8.5% growth in salaries across B2B marketing for 2018, an increase of 23% on the previous 12-months.

The highest paying roles we recorded came from Marketing Directors at Software as a Service (SaaS) businesses (£123,452 per year on average), £35,565 more than their counterparts within traditional B2B marketing roles (£87,887 per year on average).

Interestingly at management level, Bid Managers were the highest paid specialism in 2018, with an average salary of £47,153 - £10,351 more than traditional Marketing Managers who earnt £36,802.

Also on the specialist side, Product Marketing Managers earnt an average of £42,005, just slightly more than Digital Marketing Managers who earnt an average of £40,015. The increase in both of these roles is likely down to the rapid growth we’ve seen in the region’s technology sector and more specifically software as a service propositions.
