Last week Forward Role hosted a CRM event - ‘How AI is changing the face of CRM’.
The reason for the event was that it was becoming more apparent to me how little networking and event opportunities were available in the CRM space, across the North West. The Capital has an abundance of CRM events and I was finding that many North West based companies were sending their CRM teams all the way down to London to attend these. It was about time we had something a little closer to home!
Our event was held at Forward Role HQ, in the heart of Manchester city centre and we had two fantastic speakers Gianfranco Cuzziol and Andrew Smith, as well as a presentation from Phil Ireland, Head of CRM at Interactive Investor, who unfortunately couldn’t make it on the day.
We began with Andrew, Customer Success Manager at Exponea, with his approach to how AI is changing the way we work. With a strong financial and retail CRM background, Andrew recently moved over to work for an email provider so his perspective was really interesting, especially for fashion retailers as he discussed AI chatbots, trend analysis and real time tracking.
Next up was Gianfranco, Global CRM Lead at Aesop. Due to his wealth of experience agency-side, he shared many anecdotes of previous campaigns; as well as discussing how we can sometimes be too presumptive about our customers. Although AI has changed the industry for the better, we need to remember that we’re working with humans not just data. We then enjoyed pizza, drinks and networking.
It was a great evening and the feedback has been really positive. I would like to thank everyone who came along, as well as a huge thank you to our fantastic speakers!
