International Women's Day: Balance for Better

Join The Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health as Dr Jess Wade, scientist and equality campaigner, visits The University of Manchester to give a public talk as part of our International Women’s Day celebrations.
Jess tirelessly campaigns for gender equality, whether through redressing Wikipedia’s under-representation of women in STEM subjects or using social media (@jesswade) to challenge the science gender gap, whilst working as a Research Associate at Imperial College London.
Jess will be discussing gender balance, why it is important and why we need to keep talking about equality.
This is a free event, open to everyone.
The talk will take place in Lecture Theatre B, University Place, followed by networking over coffee and cake in University Place foyer.
