Assistant Manager - European Business Supplies

You will be responsible to lead and develop  activities to build a network of high-quality distribution partners that buy consumables and supply them to a range of channel partners across Europe

You will maintain a close working relationship with local sales offices and commercial teams to develop and implement the overall strategic direction to be aligned with Global, European, and National objectives.

You will foster and promote a culture of continuous improvement, growing business profitability by working with stakeholders to increase business efficiency and developing business plans for key individual customers.

Monitoring and analysing sales data is critical to the successful undertaking of this role. You will need to maintain strict deadlines and a high level of accuracy when reporting sales information to a wide audience across the business

Main Responsibilities

  • The primary activity within this role is to monitor and analyse European supplies sales to thoroughly understand and report business performance to key stakeholders across the group.
  • Based on that analysis and extensive knowledge you will make recommendations for business development with supporting information regarding appropriate strategy as well as measurements to achieve ROI.
  • Work alongside Local Sales, Commercial, Supply Chain and Management teams to develop and implement the strategy for a high quality, profitable business via channel partners.
  • Act as a main point of contact and knowledge holder for European Supplies sales, adopting a proactive approach to engage across the European virtual team, answer questions, and resolve problems.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and strict deadlines for sales and customer information that support essential business processes such as commission and rebate payments.
  • Regularly review business activities and create an environment that encourages continuous improvement by stakeholders to improve efficiency and increase overall profitability of the business
  • Support local sales offices to maintain good business relationships with Authorised Distributors, assist with negotiations for contractual and other business conditions as well as creating individual business plans to develop key accounts
  • Track interactions between client, Channel partners and Customers to actively anticipate and plan for risks/problems by analysing situations through personal commercial judgement.
  • Arrange necessary meetings by using appropriate communication both on-line and off-line and ensure that appropriate agendas, briefings, and background preparations are in place as well as proactively following up subsequent tasks and actions.
  • Ensure that objectives and deadlines are maintained by contributors and stakeholders to drive the business forward.

Requirements

  • Graduate
  • An effective communicator with a high level of numeracy, literacy, IT, and presentational skills
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Product Management, Channel Management, or similar commercial role
  • Comprehensive understanding of the sales process with proven ability to analyse sales performance to provide findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Good Understanding of P&L management.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with and influencing other functions of an organisation i.e., Marketing, Customer Services & Supply Chain.
  • Experience of national/key account management would be advantageous but not essential
