The Company

Forward Role are currently working alongside a newly established IT Security company with a 10 year growth strategy plan, which will see them grow from a 2 person start-up to a multi service with clients throughout the UK and abroad.

The company was founded by 2 ex-military personnel who have set out with a vision to become a gateway for ex-military and emergency service personnel who are looking to transition into the IT security sector. The company was originally founded off the back of the frustration of working for ‘profit before employee’ consultancies. They are now looking for the first Business Development Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of bringing in net new business across a wide variety of sectors across the UK, but also maintain developed relationships to bring in repeat business.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for client relationship management, identifying their security requirements and opportunities for ICS to deliver penetration testing services. You will be expected to:

  • Create and execute business development plans and advertising campaigns
  • Conduct territory and portfolio building activity
  • Attend Cyber Security and Industry specific conferences to develop your knowledge of the industry and identify possible opportunities for ICS
  • Create engagement proposals and tender responses with the support of the penetration testing team
  • Ensure engagements have been booked and introduce the client and assigned consultant prior to test commencement

Experience

Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Evidence of winning new business in a consultancy/service orientated environment
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Strong administration and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A willingness to speak their mind if they believe a process can be changed for the better
