Forward Role is partnered with a business who are looking for their next superstar Communications & Engagement Consultant. You’ll be joining a high energy, integrated and supportive team to help bring the communications strategy to life, working with stakeholders across the business to appropriately target audiences and channels.

Role Overview: As a Communications Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the communication efforts to new heights. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks aimed at enhancing our internal and external communication channels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Curator Extraordinaire:

  • Take ownership of social media and employee communication channels, consistently generating engaging content and stories from across the organization.

2. Master of Coordination:

  • Collaborate closely with communication stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure seamless communication flow and alignment of messages, supporting the business’ communication schedule.

3. Digital Architect:

  • Champion the enhancement of communication channels, including the intranet, transforming them into valuable resources for all colleagues.

4. Strategic Counsellor:

  • Offer strategic and operational communication guidance to individual companies within the business, aiding them in developing, maintaining, and optimizing existing channels.

5. Communication Planner:

  • Develop and execute communication plans that bolster business and functional priorities as well as change initiatives.

6. Event Virtuoso:

  • Lead the delivery of annual employee awards, charity events, and leadership conferences, collaborating with the in-house events team.

7. Executive Communicator:

  • Provide personal leadership communication services to members of the executive team.

8. Relationship Builder:

  • Foster strong and lasting relationships across the organization to encourage a smooth flow of information to the communications team.

9. Content Strategist:

  • Develop and implement effective methods for planning and managing content across communication channels.

10. Team Player:

  • Embrace a flexible working approach within the multidisciplinary team, contributing to collective goals with a "sleeves rolled up" attitude.


  • Proven experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in social media and digital communication platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for engaging content.
  • Previous experience in event planning and execution is a plus.
