Data Analyst - Hybrid (Tuesday and Thursday in Office)

Job Description:

Forward Role are excited to be working with a UK’s market leading retailer/wholesaler, who is currently expanding its operations and seeking a skilled, motivated Data Analyst to join the team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in extracting valuable insights from data, generating reports, managing data on boarding processes, and contributing to the development of our data warehouse. Responsibilities:

• Utilize SQL and Excel to query and analytical techniques to generate insightful reports by extracting and analysing data from diverse sources. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver accurate and timely reports.
• Take ownership of data on boarding processes, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
• Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Interpret data, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations to support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with management to contribute to the design and development of the data warehouse. 
• Data Visualization: Create visually appealing and informative dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Present data-driven insights to stakeholders, effectively communicating complex information in an easily understandable manner.
• Proactively explore new technologies and tools to enhance data analysis capabilities and efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and stakeholders from various departments.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Excel for data extraction and manipulation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex datasets, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights.
• Familiarity with data management processes, including data quality assurance, data cleansing, and data governance. Prior experience with data on boarding processes and familiarity with data integration techniques is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in using SQL Server and SSIS. Experience with databases and data warehousing concepts is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience presenting insights and reports to senior management is beneficial.
• Great attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data analyses and reports.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues across different departments.
