Digital Marketing Executive

Our client, who are UK leaders in the fintech industry, are looking for a talented Digital Marketing Executive, to join their fast-paced marketing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for onsite and offsite SEO, website UX and co-managing a digital marketing agency.
Clients include: ITV, Burger King, Thomas Cook and Warburtons to name a few!
» Responsible for delivery of website acquisition KPIs through organic search
» Monitoring target keywords and making recommendations to improve rankings or reverse downward performance trends
» Undertaking new keyword analysis to identify new on-site content opportunities
» Manage and update a competitor dashboard, making recommendations based on best practice
» Undertaking weekly SEO housekeeping tasks – resolving 404, disavowing links etc
» Managing an SEO agency to meet organic search traffic volume targets, as well as other performance indicators such as domain authority and target keyword position
» Ownership of SEO plan, providing quarterly recommendations for onsite and offsite priorities, based on best use of agency and in-house resources available
» Working closely with the content executive to agree an on-site content schedule within the plan, producing content as and when necessary
» Ensuring their external agency continues to deliver what we need, where in-house capabilities lack coverage, e.g. technical, outreach, strategy
» Managing progress meetings with agency and in-house stakeholders, providing regular reports as required
» Responsible for delivery of website performance KPIs (bounce rate, conversions, time on site)
» Ownership of user journeys on the website, making and obtaining approval on recommendations to improve site performance against site KPIs, based on use of Google Analytics data and other analytical tools
» Working with in-house and external developers to test and implement site changes, using split testing techniques
» Manage website update projects, agreeing ownership with developers and deploying content changes to the website directly as required
» Day to day addition of content to site provided by wider members of the team
» Minimum of 3 years’ experience in SEO and onsite optimisation
» Excellent written and verbal communication skills
» An ability to comprehensively explain technical issues in a clear and concise manner
» Expertise in conducting onsite and technical audits
» An analytical mind with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations
» Experience writing monthly reports
» Knowledge of Google algorithm updates
» Experience of using analytics packages such as Google Analytics, Moz, Google Search Console
» Expertise with implementing schema markup
» Experience of briefing in work to developers, with an understanding of terms such as rendering, loading, server-side redirects, microdata tagging, basic HTML tags etc.
» A strong commercial acumen and understanding of marketing in general
» Familiar with WordPress-based sites and other content management systems
» Comprehensive understanding of what makes a good user experience (UX)
» Expertise in conversion rate optimisation (CRO)
» Sociable, and with a good sense of humour!
» Strong writing skills with an understanding of writing for SEO
» Knowledge of on-site optimisation tools such as Google Optimize, Optimizely
» Demonstrable experience of MVT, A/B tests that have generated significant uplift
» Understand of other digital marketing disciplines (content, PPC, social etc)
