A Digital Project Manager is sought for a business based in the heart of Bolton. The successful candidate will have a number of initial responsibilities, such as the creation and launch of a new website and web migration. 

Key accountabilities

  • Take full ownership and proactive management of the projects to ensure deadlines and budgets are met along with the key objectives of each project
  • Ensure GA goals are appropriately set up and tracking appropriately
  • Establish analytics reports and dashboards in GA / Data Studio to simplify auditing and reporting
  • Responsible for scoping and creating project documentation, functional specifications, resource planning through to a variety of projects from digital delivery, UX, digital content, along with web and app builds
  • Use SEO technical and content knowledge to drive increased quality traffic to our sites and improve engagement levels
  • Lead on CRO and UX optimisations to improve ROI for each site objective 


  • Advanced knowledge of UX / CRO strategies and tactics to inform web design and development decisions
  • Expert in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio and WordPress
  • Compliance/web standards, infrastructure, domains, governance, wire-framing, site mapping, personas, focus groups, developing self-service portals, web tools, use of videos and blogs
  • eCRM, email campaign tools such as Campaign Monitor 


  • In depth experience of managing internal and external vendors, covering website developer services, marketing services and design
  • Fantastic communication, organisational and leadership skills
  • Good team player and clear communication skills. Understand the multiple demands placed on a complicated customer facing business organisation
  • Strong in stakeholder engagement and management skills, spinning plates and coordinating internal teams ensuring all work is completed on time and on budget
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills with the ability to delegate appropriately
  • Exceptional supplier management skills
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to clearly articulate the team objectives and how they link to the strategic focus 
  • Ability to conduct market analysis and competitor bench marking
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of relevant front and back-end systems as well as tracking and reporting technologies and multiple operating systems, databases, CMS’s including: Drupal; .NET; SQL; CSS, Java, Flash, Concret5, Charms, Lotus


  • Proven track record with experience in a similar role or level
  • Hands on digital marketing experience with the ability to deliver / monitor successful digital strategies
  • Agency experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Digital strategy, channel development, SEO/SEM, CRO, UX, social media
  • In depth experience of managing internal and external vendors, covering website developer services, marketing services and design
