E-commerce & Marketplace Merchandiser

I am really excited to be working with a dynamic and growing circular economy business recovering, refurbishing, and reselling IT, to recruit a new Online Merchandiser.

This privately owned multimillion pound business established over 20 years ago, taking in high quality IT equipment from businesses, wipe their data and then either update the hardware or recycle the parts and sell them on B2C and B2C consumers. They take the IT equipment to the end of its lifecycle and when it can no longer be reused, they dispose of it in an ethical way.

As the Online Merchandiser you will be responsible for the ownership of on-site categories, driving cross/up-sell to increase AOV, with responsibility to analyse impact and optimise both the Shopify site, but also the Amazon channels.

Responsibilities:

• Implement trading plans and on-site merchandising strategies on tier1.com to achieve sales targets.

• Continuously monitor website analytics to optimize on-site merchandising on site, ensuring a high conversion rate and excellent customer experience.

• Utilize various online merchandising techniques and tools to curate the most relevant product selection for customers, thereby increasing on-site conversion.

• Manage the on-site search algorithm and results to provide customers with the most suitable products, further boosting on-site conversion.

• Collaborate in briefing on-site content to achieve targets, enhance the customer experience, and effectively promote key products and offers.

• Provide support in the creation of product listings across multiple e-commerce channels, including Amazon, Backmarket, and Shopify.

• Attend weekly trading meetings with senior stakeholders and the broader e-commerce team, sharing insights on search trends, customer engagement, and trading opportunities.

Experience:

• Proficiency in working with CMS and website platforms, with a preference for experience in Shopify. Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central is desired.

• Knowledge of the tools and systems used in online marketplaces and e-commerce for inventory management and merchandising.

• Prior experience using web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Heat Maps, survey tools, etc.

• Possess a driven, self-starter attitude with a can-do approach.

• Proactively self-motivated to take initiative and make things happen.
