Email Marketing Specialist

South Manchester

Up to £25,000

This is a brand new role that will cover the email campaigns across multiple businesses. You will be reporting in to the Digital Marketing Manager, working closely with the wider team to evolve and continue improving our email marketing capability in line with business strategy. You will be accountable for email strategy and implementing email communications, managing day to day email execution, maximising revenue opportunities and provide suggestion around emerging email trends for testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Shaping, devising and implementing email marketing strategy with digital marketing managers
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns including the set-up, scheduling, and deployment of one-time, recurring, and triggered campaigns
  • Carry out segmentation of the database, analyse performance of different segments in line with business personas and target audiences, data handling 
  • Track and report on email campaigns to guide improvements
  • Conduct A/B testing on various email campaigns to establish the most effective
  • Development of email collateral, creative and assets for the email platform and campaigns
  • Propose and conduct email personalisation elements of email assets and targeting to increase email coms relevancy
  • Ensuring campaigns are on brand and use the correct tone of voice
  • Remain current on new technologies, frameworks, best practices to develop robust, cross-compatible and on-brand email experiences
  • Work closely with Digital Managers to optimise and develop customer lifecycles with a focus on driving cross-sell and up-sell as well as customer retention from an email aspect point of view
  • Ensure all email campaigns comply with latest GDRP regulations

The person and technical requirements for the role:

  • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in email marketing in-house or agency
  • Experience in using email marketing automation platforms
  • Knowledge of HTML
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office programs: PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Great organisational skills, team working and enthusiasm for delivering results
  • Organised with the ability to effectively manage projects
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload/priorities
  • Competent IT skills
