Unit4 Financial Systems Accountant – International Charity Organisation

A global charity who we're recruiting on behalf of, are looking for Financial Systems Accountant with Unit4 experience. You will join the team as a senior member of the Financial Accounting team, taking charge of the preparation of the financial statements of expenditure – totalling somewhere around £1.2 billion.

Unit4 Responsibilities

• Upkeep data access and role controls within the Unit4 system, making sure that stringent financial controls are in place.
• Communicate with Unit4 support staff and make sure controls are performed monthly.
• Work collaboratively with the System Support and Development Manager to make sure that any system upgrades tie in nicely with accounting team requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create global financial statements, charity commission returns and support the year-end audit process.
• Lead the preparation of year-end financial reporting.
• Take charge of the reconciliation of financial statements for the management accounts.
• Manage the production and development of major global KPI’s, which will measure the quality of financial control at national business level.
• Captain the development of VAT return on a quarterly basis.
• Assist in the bi-annual financial control and compliance calls with the regions and ensure key issues are flagged and addressed appropriately.

Requirements

• You must be accountable, ambitious, collaborative, creative and integrous.
• Qualified finance professional, with experience working for a global and complex organisation.
• Excellent working knowledge of SORP, GAAP and legal requirements.
• Unit4 system experience
• Knowledge of VAT, PAYE, NI and other tax issues.
