Head of Development.

I am currently looking for a Head of Development or Solutions Architect to come on board for the start of a new venture for one of the fastest growing retailers in the UK.

You will have the opportunity to build out the digital and ecommerce side of the business from the ground up.

You will be reporting to the Digital Director while you build out processes and frameworks that will lead to the brand new ecommerce development to function with the highest level of efficiency.

You will need to have a true passion for developing, this opportunity will give you the chance to build a development team around you, for this reason you will need to be a natural leader and project manager. You will also need experience successfully managing software developers in a fast-paced environment.

You will:

Grow a market leading team of PHP Developers from scratch
Implement and refine the processes and standards for the development team
Design, manage and own all web technologies
Deliver excellent software, making sure you meet agreed requirements
Lead the team to meet the objectives set out for each component and features.

What you will need:

Experience and a track record of managing a development team
5 years + experience within the industry
You will need to have experience architecting technical solutions with up to date technologies
Have a track record working within agile environments including Scrum/Kanban
