Job Title: Contract Infrastructure Engineer - Retail Industry Experience (preferred)

Job Description:

The client is looking for a results-driven and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to work on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimising their infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for their retail-focused projects. Your expertise in the retail industry will be invaluable in understanding their specific needs, however retail experiense is preferred not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain our infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Perform regular system updates, backups, and maintenance to ensure data integrity.

• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues to minimize downtime.

• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive retail data.

• Manage vendor relationships for infrastructure-related services and solutions.

What they'll look for in you:

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in the retail industry (Preferred)

• Knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud services.

• Familiarity with retail-specific systems and software (e.g., POS systems, inventory management, e-commerce platforms).

• Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, AWS, etc.) are a plus.
