Internal Communications Officer

Preston/Manchester – Hybrid Working

£35,000 - £45,000 +Benefits

Forward Role are on the hunt for an experienced Internal Communications Officer to join a business that provide the North West with electricity. You’ll be the centre of all communication delivery across all teams within the business, and across 15+ sites.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the Internal Communications Manager and wider team to deliver on objectives and colleague engagement

• Build trust with colleagues and be a trusted communications advisor within the business

• Act as the communications lead for key internal change projects, liaising with various stakeholders, ensuring communications are strategically planned, written and delivered

• Maintain ongoing working relationships with stakeholders and provide expert communication advise

• Lead on the delivery of internal events, including leadership engagement events, owning the logistical delivery

• Ensure the weekly newsletter is delivered, including collating the content and liaising with relevant stakeholders

• Maintain the internal intranet, ensuring all pages are consistent, including training colleagues on how to update their relevant sectors and being a source of support when needed

• Support the stakeholder and external communications team where required and contribute towards the communication of team incidences

What you’ll need:

• Excellent communication skills

• A degree or relevant in communication, journalism, public relations or marketing

• Or five years’ experience in a similar role

• Forward-thinking
