It’s an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, motivated Marketing Communications Manager to make their mark on a growing sales and marketing team. We are looking for a content marketer with a passion for research, writing and creativity.  Your mission will be to create a content plan including blogs, whitepapers, articles, web pages, infographics, videos and more. Working hand in hand with the marketing campaigns manager, you will create content to support nurture programs and events. You will thrive on creating compelling, educational content that drives conversions, marketing qualified leads and social engagement. Day to day, your role will be varied and fast paced as you create content for different purchasing personas, industry verticals and on specific cyber topics.

The purpose of your role within our team:

The role of the communications manager is to be the go-to resource and expert in the team for all forms of content creation. Working in the busy sales and marketing team, you will support a variety of marketing campaigns that will generate leads and pipeline for the business. You’ll be responsible for ensuring consistency in the content we produce, setting and abiding by tone of voice guidelines, developing the brand identity, enhancing and running our social media activity and executing bold, disruptive messaging in the market.

Your key areas of responsibility are;

  • Creation of editorial calendar and management of content within the business to produce a regular stream of blogs to support the marketing plan
  • Writing content for the website, developing strong, jargon-free copy that sells the machine learning proposition
  • Writing campaign emails and landing pages to support the marketing plan and ensure high conversion rates
  • Management of social media channels
  • Creation of videos, infographics and other creative content – working with 3rd party suppliers where necessary to produce
  • Development of tone of voice and messaging documents to support the marketing and sales team
  • Engagement with industry influencers to secure third party commentary and endorsement
  • Writing of awards entries, speaking submissions and creation of thought leadership presentations

Your key duties are;

  • Create, manage and execute a content plan to support the wider marketing plan
  • Creation and execution of an internal communications plan within the business 
  • Provide recommendations to the wider marketing team on content ideas
  • Work with the digital marketing executive to develop appropriate website landing pages that are optimised for conversion
  • Produce content to support specific sectors, markets, products and services
  • Create and promote best practice in lead-generation programs, lead scoring, CRM integration and automated communications programs.
  • Development of marketing intranet
  • Creation of all marketing content in line with tone of voice and style guide
  • Stay on top of industry and competitor news, whitepapers and reports and collate for use in marketing material
  • Development of social media plan, including sales enablement


Person specification

We’re looking for talent and passion in equal measure, with the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or marketing– or equivalent qualification desirable
  • 2 years minimum experience in a similar role within B2B marketing
  • Ability to produce content for a variety of audiences, with a skill for understanding and simplifying technical features
  • Hands-on experience of running social media accounts
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and project management skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects to demanding deadlines
  • Passionate about developing a career in marketing
  • Graphic design skills and an eye for creativity to enhance and bring to life your content
