Our client is an established group of companies who are looking for an experienced Marketing Executive join their team and help spread the word on a new proposition.

The role

The Marketing Executive will be part of a small team, reporting to the Head of Marketing and working alongside a Marketing Coordinator and a number of external freelancers and agencies.

You’ll need to be creative yet commercially focussed with the ability to juggle a variety of projects at any one time. You will be responsible for undertaking day-to day marketing activities that feed into an overarching marketing strategy and at times will need to take on complete projects from conception to completion.

Who we’re looking for

We need a competent all-round marketeer ideally with experience across a variety of channels and disciplines within the marketing mix.

You will need to be highly organised, have exceptional attention to detail and be an excellent communicator.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the marketing plan, ensuing that activity is delivered on time, on budget, and is measured in order to maximize the return on marketing spend.
  • Develop and ensure all marketing literature is kept up to date, on brand and compliant, this will include case studies, factsheets, proposal documents, adverts, and any ad hoc requests from the business.
  • Print advertising - working with the Head of Marketing to oversee the booking, design or copywriting of adverts, approval of creative, and analysing and reviewing of performance.
  • Work with the team to deliver digital campaigns - paid advertising, content marketing and email marketing campaigns.
  • Events / Exhibitions – working to the annual plan, oversee key milestones are met in relation to exhibition stand design and build, literature production, branded promotional items, event logistics and follow up communications.
  • Work with the digital and marketing team to ensure the website and social (LinkedIn & Twitter) is up to date and reaching specific targets.
  • Work with third party suppliers and freelancers including creative agencies, printers, event organisers etc to support the delivery of campaigns and activity.
  • Be our brand guardian, ensuring the adherence to the brand guidelines and that all material is compliant.
  • Support sales team with ad hoc marketing requests.

Skills and experience required


  • Be passionate about reducing our impact on the planet
  • Minimum of 3 years solid experience in a B2C marketing environment
  • Experience of writing creative briefs and working with designers and external agencies
  • Experience of exhibiting at exhibitions and trade events
  • Competent working independently without daily support
  • Experience of delivering activity across several marketing channels at any one time
  • Strong communication, organisation and time management skills
  • Proactive and able to prioritise tasks
  • Exposure and understanding of digital channels (social media, PPC, SEO and paid search)
