Our client is an exciting VC backed FinTech business on a rapid growth journey, based in the City Centre of Manchester. They need a Marketing Operations Manager to help drive their already impressive growth.

Objectives of the role:

To support the Digital team by being responsible and accountable for the operational side of Marketing with full accountability of the CRM (Salesforce). The main purpose of the role is to ensure that sales and marketing are fully aligned and the CRM Is fully configured to allow marketing campaigns and projects to work and flow seamlessly through robust processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify trends through data to improve efficiencies.
  • Own and build the marketing operational technology stack along with an Integration roadmap.
  • Develop a Salesforce reporting suite by working with our data team to report on campaigns and activities.
  • Create and own the marketing operational plans.
  • Create a best practice operational framework.
  • Lead the GDPR process and work closely with the Marketing Director.
  • Work closely with the Inbound marketing manager to ensure that campaigns are delivered on time tracked and measured correctly.
  • Work closely with the field marketing manager to ensure correct processes are in place.
  • Be fully responsible and accountable for data which Includes management of one direct report (Data Marketing Administrator).
  • Work closely with the Inbound marketing manager to ensure that the data within Salesforce and Marketo is data rich through continuous Improvement.
  • Create and implement an operations marketing plan, which is in line with the overall digital strategy and go to market plans.
  • Ensure that leads are never lost by ensuring the quality of the data is always accurate.
  • Work closely with SDR team to enrich SDR territory data through effective research and mining across D&B Hoovers, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Marketo.
  • To support strategic planning with the provision of market sizing reports and intelligence to the marketing team.
  • To support SDR Team Manager in contact and lead allocation, de-duplication and reporting.
  • Ensure the marketing database works alongside other information systems.
  • Provide Liaison with current and future data suppliers (D&B Hoovers).
  • Ensure best practice is followed at all times.
  • To support strategic planning with the provision of market sizing reports and intelligence to the marketing team.
  • Working with sales account managers to ensure Salesforce and Outreach are used consistently, with set processes and training as needed.
  • Highlight any issues which may impact on GDPR.
  • Highlight issues in line with data input from elsewhere in the group.
  • Highlight issues identified with any data feeds and ensure that the data Is always clean.
  • Creation, co-ordination and analysis of market and prospect and customer insight.
  • Ensure key data insights are gathered, analysed and acted upon, alerting line manager and key stakeholders to any issues as appropriate.
  • To produce reports for key internal stakeholders as and when required.
  • Project manage campaigns and projects to ensure they are delivered on time to budget.
  • Track & report on the department OKRs including all funnel stages and campaign influence.

About You:

Essential skills:

  • Analysing and interpreting data and making informed decisions based on raw data.
  • Previous experience of working in a Marketing Operations or Marketing/Business Analytics role is essential.
  • A full understanding of Digital Marketing.
  • An excellent knowledge of marketing operations best practice.
  • Excellent working knowing of tracking with a focus on UTM.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Salesforce certified.
  • A conceptual understanding of data models is advantageous, particularly for producing complex Campaign / Campaign Member / Opportunity Influence reporting.
  • Proven experience working within and advanced knowledge of Marketing Automation platforms.
