£30,000 - £35,000 plus excellent benefits

Manchester (with hybrid working)

One of the fastest growing retail businesses in the North West is hiring a Marketing Partnerships Manager to devise and implement multi-channel campaigns that engage, inform and drive customer acquisition and retention by building and maintaining relationships with their partners. 

The successful candidate will have significant relationship management or brand management experience within a retail environment and a proven track record of effective project management and delivery of results. You will have high levels of commercial acumen with strategic and creative thinking and problem-solving skills. With a strong team work ethic, you will also have outstanding influencing and relationship building skills and will be comfortable liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement ambitious, innovative and consumer centric multi-channel marketing campaigns, producing and running tactical activities with real-time evaluation and monthly reporting to team members and partners. 
  • Your chief duty will be to understand the key product partners marketing activities, aligning these with the marketing calendars across the different brands; working alongside the senior Partnerships and Product teams to commercially negotiate the best in market opportunities for our members through joint marketing and campaign initiatives.   
  • Managing and communicating partner campaign activities which align with the overall marketing strategy to all stakeholders.  This will involve building up a yearly marketing calendar of partner work for key partners, which will involve working closely with all areas of marketing and in particular their affiliate team. 
  • Delivering best in class relationship management you will help to develop and identify opportunities across our key partners to drive membership growth.  By understanding partner success metrics, you will find ways to improve partner performance through data and insight through marketing activity.   
  • Using commercial acumen and negotiation skills, you will help construct stand-out marketing campaigns that drive usage and retention, whilst being commercially viable
  • You will challenge the value of all work produced to ensure it's delivering against KPIs and regularly report results back to the business; tracking and reporting on the commercial value of managed projects, allocating time, internal/agency resources and costing proposals appropriately.   

Person / Skills required:

  • Strong commercial and business acumen, with proven ability of negotiation.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills utilizing a multidisciplinary approach.  
  • Proven leadership, influencing and motivational skills.  
  • Ability to get things done to an exceptional standard – Strong charisma, relationship management skills, creative flair and ambition also required.  
  • Proactivity and responsiveness are required at all times, as well as the ability to multitask across a range of projects with multiple stakeholders at different levels across the business.   
  • Experience in business-to-business brand development is desirable, as well as a good understanding of the strategies and tactics employed to build brand equity; using excellent corporate, industry and competitor knowledge. 
  • Strong ability and knowledge of how to implement multi-channel marketing campaigns across core marketing channels. 
  • A creative approach to problem-solving and ruthless attention to detail is essential, as well as a desire for continuous improvement.   
  • Experience in briefing in-house teams and/or external agency partners.  
  • Ability to manage complex and multiple tasks with good prioritisation skills.  
  • Experience in an online marketing role, ideally in a retail ecommerce environment.  
  • A clear understanding of the KPIs that measure successful
