Forward Role are partnered with a business in the Finance-space, based in Liverpool – looking for a Network Security Engineer who has solid knowledge/experience with Palo Alto.
The role consists of around 90% working with Palo Alto, it’d be great if you could hit the ground running – working with their 10 Next Gen Firewalls.
Role:
- Be the escalation point for technical issues, lead in the root cause analysis of problems.
- Take ownership of assigned work keeping problems, incidents and tasks up to date.
- Monitoring performance and troubleshooting network problems on the LAN and WAN.
- Testing for, documenting and identifying network and security vulnerabilities on the infrastructure.
- Remediation of system vulnerabilities through patching and updates.
- Configuration and management of Firewall solutions.
- Implementing and influencing security into BAU processes.
- Develop and govern IT security technology solutions.
Experience:
- Strong experience and knowledge of Palo Alto Next Gen Firewalls including Global Protect and Panorama.
- Knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching, Cisco Wireless Controllers.
- Technical project delivery and planning.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Able to effectively manage a technical workload both project and BAU.
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
