Forward Role are partnered with a business in the Finance-space, based in Liverpool – looking for a Network Security Engineer who has solid knowledge/experience with Palo Alto.

The role consists of around 90% working with Palo Alto, it’d be great if you could hit the ground running – working with their 10 Next Gen Firewalls.

 

Role:

  • Be the escalation point for technical issues, lead in the root cause analysis of problems.
  • Take ownership of assigned work keeping problems, incidents and tasks up to date.
  • Monitoring performance and troubleshooting network problems on the LAN and WAN.
  • Testing for, documenting and identifying network and security vulnerabilities on the infrastructure.
  • Remediation of system vulnerabilities through patching and updates.
  • Configuration and management of Firewall solutions.
  • Implementing and influencing security into BAU processes.
  • Develop and govern IT security technology solutions.

 

Experience:

  • Strong experience and knowledge of Palo Alto Next Gen Firewalls including Global Protect and Panorama.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching, Cisco Wireless Controllers.
  • Technical project delivery and planning.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to effectively manage a technical workload both project and BAU.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
