The Online Merchandiser at JD will be working in a fast paced environment for one of the biggest retailers in the UK, who will possess excellent merchandising skills. You will be responsible for merchandising of a selection of categories on the website, with the purpose of driving commercial performance across these categories by optimising product once it is live on the site.
•Management of launches effectively by preparing products in time, scrutinizing performance, adapting to new technology apparatus brought in to improve the site for customers.
•Monitoring and managing stock holding.
•Reviewing low cover lines in the warehouse to see if they are needed to be transferred from slow/none selling stores to maintain sell through rate for company. As well as monitoring transfer processing rates - liaising with the warehouse and the retail team to improve this.
•Product uploads are done at rapid speed so customers receive them on time. Using product trackers and intake calendars. And monitoring key replenishment - suggest lines to be marketed where worthwhile.
•Evaluating reports to identify performance, comparing online performance to high-street performance and seeing what they are doing better/worse.
•Highlighting and producing additional information for key product, issues and events.
•Working alongside merchandising and buyers to sign off all products for marketing, to get the best out of the stock and ranges that are getting back as a business.
•Furthermore, you will be asked to work with the wider digital teams (PPC, SEO, Affiliates, ECRM) to ensure that all product related activity from keywords, ranking and links are appropriate.
•Using Merchandising tools Fredhopper to ensure the site is easy on the eye and identifying ways to improve customer journey.
•Review search words and drop offs.
•weekly drop down reviews to ensure its up to date with seasonality.
•Daily site walks to identify any issues – broken links, incorrect product descriptions, placement, imagery and general housekeeping.
•Daily homepage checks to identify any content amendments across all platforms to ensure everything is running well.
•Ecommerce or merchandising experience.
•Strong analytical skills.
•Keen eye for detail and ability to accurately enter data.
•Work well in a team.
