Performance Marketing Manager

Salary up to £47k

City Centre Manchester – 1-2 days in office ideal

Forward Role have once again partnered with one of the UK’s best known & loved Retail brands, as they grow out their performance function with the recruitment of a talented Performance Marketing Manager. This multi-billion pound turnover powerhouse is a household name, engaging with millions of UK consumers daily; although mighty in size this organisation is renowned for being an incredible place to work and treating every single employee at any level as if they worked for a business 2% of its size!

This role will see you lead the performance marketing strategy for a particular arm of the Retail business, working with and leading the external agency to optimise their existing channels and finding new & innovative ways for customers to connect and engage with the brand. Working collaboratively with the media agency, you will be responsible for the planning of delivery of paid search, paid social, programmatic display and affiliates channels.

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Manage paid performance marketing strategies for customer acquisition and retention, including PPC, affiliates and programmatic display, and social
  • Facilitate the development of these channel strategies, getting the best from the external agencies
  • Manage multi-million annual media forecasts and budgets
  • Provide oversight, manage, and generate reporting for all major channel metrics, using it to inform channel strategy, planning, and optimisation
  • Provide recommendations and implement PPC strategies for keyword and audience opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, and other facets of paid search
  • Develop mid to long-term Affiliate strategies, working with loyalty and voucher publishers to drive growth and return on investment
  • Mobilise test and learn measurement plans for channels, including the use of audience targeting, first party data integration, and attribution modelling.

Your skills & experience:

  • Previous experience in large e-commerce or online retail extremely desirable – agency or inhouse
  • A solid understanding of digital marketing across paid, owned, and earned channels
  • Experience of managing PPC, and familiarity with important account metrics and account structuring. PPC would be the most important must-have of all acquisition channels
  • Experience of managing affiliate programmes highly desirable
