Performance Marketing Manager

Salary up to £45k plus bonus – potential to stretch for the right candidate

Burton – Midlands (2 days in office)

One of the country’s biggest and most prolific Travel companies have not only bounced back from the turbulent effects of recent years on the travel industry, but are now enjoying their busiest ever and most successful period of business and as a result are on the lookout for an ambitious and talented Performance Marketing Manager to head up the businesses profitable Paid channels after a recent lucrative Private Equity backing. Managing an external digital Agency who manage a lot of the day to day activations, you working across PPC, Programmatic & Affiliates, optimising each channel to drive performance, maximizing ROI and minimizing CPA on leads and bookings.

The postholder will be an experienced and commercially minded digital marketer. The Performance Marketing Manager will have responsibility for a multi-million pound Acquisition budget, and work closely with the Agency to ensure all activity is optimised and aligned with commercial trading priorities as part of a talented and close-knit Digital function of around 15 heads in total internally.

Your day to day responsibilities will look like:

  • ·        Oversee the day-to-day performance of paid digital media channels including PPC, Programmatic (Paid Social, Display & YouTube) and Affiliates
  • ·        Work closely with the Brand Manager to ensure creative & messaging across channels is optimised and aligned with commercial trading priorities
  • ·        Manage digital agencies responsible for running digital activity – work closely with them to ensure all activity is optimised and aligned with commercial trading priorities
  • ·        Work with agency partners to define the strategy and set targets & KPIs for each digital media channel
  • ·        Work with the CRM & Insight team to utilise customer data in digital marketing channels to personalise messaging and target them with relevant offers
  • ·        Produce weekly snapshot & detailed monthly reports on digital marketing performance by channel
  • ·        Stay abreast of digital media developments and proactively recommend opportunities for Riviera to test new channels or formats

Your skills & experience:

  • An expert in digital performance marketing, with 3+ years experience working across PPC – paid search would be an essential previous requirement and affiliates & programmatic would be a bonus – previous ‘Management’ experience not necessarily required, the role would suit a Snr Exec or existing Manager
  • Highly organised and efficient, with excellent time management
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment, and adapting quickly to changing tactical priorities
  • A team player, with the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Analytical approach, with a good working knowledge of Google Analytics
