A rapidly expanding and well-backed Tech4Good business are recruiting for a Principal Java Developer, who can lead the development, design and implementation of applications within their engineering function.

Their cloud based SaaS software has sustainability at the heart of it and it will be a driving force in reducing the carbon footprint of businesses across the UK. 35 heads at the moment, they want to reach 90 by the end of 2023 and have the backing of a billion pound company to do so.

They plan to explore/implement; IOT, AI/ML, create an event space, build an agnostic tech environment, contribute to the London tech eco-system and build a world-class engineering environment. You, as the Principal Java Developer can be at the heart of this.

You will be:

• Lead the team to deliver implementations. (No line management).
• Scope, roadmap and design solutions.
• Identify innovative solutions to further enhance the software.
• Support, guide and mentor the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Experience you’ll need:

• Java and Spring Boot are essential.
• Microservices.
• Exposure to Typescript and React is a bonus.
• Worked with WebSockets and Rest.
• AWS, Terraform.

Salary + Benefits: Package up to £120,000. Annual salary review, training budget, hybrid, pension, life assurance, interest free loan, mental wellbeing care.
