Procurement Commercial Lead
Are you a seasoned professional with expertise in commercial procurement and a passion for driving transformational change?
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lead to oversee and guide the procurement activities for the digitization of records across various departments. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the modernization and digitalization efforts of this company.
Responsibilities:
-Provide strategic direction and oversight for the commercial procurement process.
-Collaborate with the Procurement Services Team to design, draft, and deliver the necessary contracts for the digitization activities.
-Ensure compliance with Commercial Services Procedures and technical constraints of M&D (Modernization and Digital), the ICT function.
-Advise and guide the Procurement Services Team in the creation of the Procurement Strategy and other procurement-related activities.
-Edit and guide the work of the Procurement Services Team, ensuring deliverables meet requirements.
-Obtain authorization for the procurement activities and contracts.
-Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive effective procurement processes and achieve desired outcomes.
-Develop and implement a negotiation strategy to secure favorable terms and conditions with preferred bidders.
-Provide expertise and support in evaluating proposals, shortlisting suppliers, and making recommendations for contract awards.
-Ensure the final contracts and business cases align with GoJ standards and deliver the expected service outputs and outcomes.
Requirements:
-Extensive experience in commercial procurement, preferably within the public sector or a large organization.
-In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations and practices.
-Strong understanding of digital transformation and records management.
-Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
-Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
-Demonstrated ability to provide strategic guidance and lead a team in a dynamic and evolving environment.
-Proven track record in delivering successful procurement outcomes, ensuring value for money and compliance.
-Relevant qualifications in procurement or a related field would be advantageous.
This is a remote job with paid travel fortnightly to Jersey ( all paid).
Length of contract: 6 months with possible extension
Day rate = 550-600 outside IR35
