Our client is a leading law firm with a strong presence in the North West and they are looking to recruit two Senior BD Executives to support their continued growth.
These exciting roles will work closely with the Head of Business Development and key stakeholders to identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities within their core sectors, ensuring a cross-service line and cross-office approach.
The role has three key areas of focus:
Supporting the Sector Leaders/Lead Partners in progressing activity derived from the development plans for respective sectors/service lines.
Developing specific targeting activity plans for each prospect identified alongside the Sector Leaders/Lead Partners.
Managing sector/service line specific bid and pitch activity, working under the guidance of the Senior Business Development Manager to ensure key messages are consistently conveyed.
Working with the Head of BD, Sector Leaders and Lead Partners to advise on, manage and deliver agreed annual business development plans to raise profile and generate new business, ensuring progress of actions against them and the measurement of results.
Working with Sector Leaders and Lead Partners to identify potential new business opportunities, undertaking research and analysis of the competitive environment, industry sector trends, target audiences and individual companies, using online business research tools and data acquisition.
Working with the Head of BD to:
develop and embed best practice business development processes.
deliver sector focused bid and pitch opportunities, to include input on sector trends, client issues, key messages and content production.
produce client/market focused win strategies, bid/tender documentation and presentations, ensuring appropriate sales messages are developed and communicated.
Produce monthly reporting, scheduling and producing agendas for sector group/service line BD meetings, delivery and management of subsequent actions and evaluation of results.
Promote the sector strategy across the firm, promote positive change, engagement, progress, continuous development and creativity to pursue new business and client development opportunities within our core sectors.
Liaising with the Client Development team for the clients in the sectors/service lines to ensure that insight is shared, and activity is tailored to suit key account needs.
Working with the Marketing and Events team to create campaign content that is aligned to client/market issues and the solutions we provide to them.
The successful candidate:
Educated to degree level.
Professional business development/sales training an advantage.
Strong understanding of BD activity including targeting, implementing BD plans and managing pipelines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple stakeholders and their expectations.
Creating client/market focused bid, pitch and campaign content.
Proactive, collaborative and personable approach.
Sound commercial understanding and the energy, pace and enthusiasm to make the difference.
