Senior Marketing Executive

Our client is a leading Manchester tech business who are looking to recruit a Senior Marketing Executive to join their energetic Marketing team.

The role:

This role sits in the group marketing function and involves developing and executing campaigns across social media and owned channels to drive brand and product awareness, maintain regular communication with our existing customers / partners and support in the creation of marketing assets and collateral.

As a member of the marketing team you will help us deliver cut through marketing campaigns that include automation, product launches, engagement events and much more. A keen multi-tasker and all-round marketer you will work across a number of different channels/activities simultaneously.

You will be responsible for daily communications and be quick to react to business needs. You will execute the strategy as directed by the Product Marketing Manager and Head of Marketing, and pro-actively push forward new initiatives and ideas. You will lead reporting to ensure maximum awareness across all activities.

This role is best suited to someone who is creative in thinking but still commercially savvy.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within B2B marketing campaigns, have working knowledge of HubSpot, where working with the Head of Marketing you will help to create a seamless customer journey through the lead conversion funnel to the existing customer base.

You will also be an excellent copywriter who can convey our brand tone, product features and benefits, as well as be able to undertake a solution-based approach to our content.

The candidate:

  • 5 years marketing experience ideally within the B2B or tech sector.
  • Develop 360 marketing plans collaboratively with the marketing team, and execute a quarterly calendar of marketing activities.
  • Lead weekly and monthly reporting on results (posts, reach, new followers, traffic, sales, open, clicks, opt out rates etc). benchmark across industry, against our own activity and identifying where opportunities exist to optimize activity going forwards.
  • Delivering marketing campaigns that meet business objectives.
  • Full ownership of the social media schedule – from planning, copy writing to reporting. Ensuring that activity positions the brand positively and incorporates content from their wide range of ‘content streams’.
  • Direct experience of HubSpot, understanding how to use this to create customer facing email campaigns as well as automated journey flows that nurture prospects and drive customer life-time value.
  • Support digital team with delivering creative assets for social advertising campaigns
  • Experience in working in fast paced businesses where colleagues are supported to make their own decisions and find new ways to drive momentum.
  • Strong copywriting skills, the ability to make the complex simple.
  • Strong briefing skills to work with third party copy writers and freelance designers to bring pieces to life.
  • Creative thinker that generates and executes on innovative ideas.
  • Exceptional team player with proven ability to lead through influence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including grammar and spelling.
  • Commercially-minded, with a strong focus on KPIs, performances analysis and delivery – this role is passionate about supporting the business to grow sales.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive can-do attitude under pressure and challenge from others.
  • Be resilient and self-motivated.
