Site Reliability Engineer

My client is currently looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join the team working alongside a team of Engineers to maintain, build, monitor and scale their infrastructure in order to support the development team to deliver web based applications and ensure platforms remain performant and resilient. The Site Reliability Engineer will also build and expand a range of tools in order to automate the technology estate.

Responsibilities:

Improve observability across platforms, integrations and microservices.
Design, build and operate cloud infrastructure to provide a reliable and quick deployment for microservices
Automate daily processes and routines
Troubleshooting platform and integration issues across the cloud environments and web applications
Increasing the security protocols across infrastructure, cloud platforms and web applications
Performance tuning, monitoring and patching across infrastructure platforms

Essential experience:

Scripting knowledge in either PowerShell, Python, Bash or similar alternatives.
Experience working with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
Experience building, monitoring, and troubleshooting APIs and microservices
Experience working with an Infrastructure as Code approach
Developing and optimising CI/CD pipelines
