Strategy Director, Global Media Agency, Manchester City Centre

Forward Role are proud to be working with this exceptional media agency based in the centre of Manchester who are looking for a Strategy Director to join the team as a pivotal member of their Northern offering. As Strategy Director you will be a seasoned media professional, with a proven background in planning and will have responsibility for leading this output for the agency. You will act as the focal point of the agency, liaising with specialist internal teams spanning the full communications range.

This agency works with a high calibre of clients, including instantly recognisable brands across both brand planning and performance based campaigns and as Strategy Director you will be responsible for cross-channel planning whether that be TV, PPC, affiliates etc. They offer an exceptional benefits package and you would join a close-knit team where collaboration is key.


  • Delivers the strategic direction and long term vision for clients
  • Responsible for thought leadership and inspires the teams strategic thinking
  • Openly works with specialist teams to seek out opportunities whether it be through creative, data or performance.
  • Has an appreciation of data led planning and understands how to drive delivery through both media and also consumer experiences.
  • Solid understanding of the roles and benefits that data can provide in informing strategies and delivering these through the line
  • Builds exceptional relationships with clients and feeds into the planning process
  • Has the ability to pre-empt client queries


The role of Strategy Director is a position that requires you to contribute to the success of the agency, with involvement in leading pitches and providing innovation to their client base through thought leadership. The position requires someone with a proven career within the media industry and with the ability to produce strategic output across the agency.

They are looking for someone who is used to generating ideas and coaching numerous teams in order to produce work that is cross-channel. Curiosity is a given as is the ability to think analytically when it comes to clients. The role of Strategy Director means you will need to be a confident communicator and have a genuine interest in consumers.
