Technical Product Owner - Hybrid
Salary: £50,0000 - £70,000 DOE
Location - Wigan
We are currently working with a leading technology business looking to grow their product team. The Technical Product Owner will play a crucial role in translating the product vision into actionable technical requirements and user stories. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and stakeholders, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality technical solutions that meet both user needs and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Vision: Understand and internalize the overall product vision and strategic goals, and translate them into a clear and prioritized product backlog.
- Requirements Management: Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and end-users to gather, define, and prioritize technical requirements. Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation.
- Backlog Management: Regularly refine and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the evolving needs of the product and the organization. Make trade-off decisions when necessary to optimize value delivery.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the product. Be able to provide guidance, answer questions, and make informed decisions regarding technical feasibility and implementation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to clarify requirements, answer questions, and provide ongoing feedback. Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Release Planning: Contribute to release planning by defining and prioritizing user stories for upcoming sprints, ensuring a balanced mix of features, improvements, and technical debt.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure the delivered product meets the specified requirements and quality standards.
- Communication: Clearly communicate product priorities, progress, and challenges to stakeholders at various levels of the organization. Present technical information in an understandable manner for non-technical team members.
