Are you a virtualization engineer looking for a new 6 month contract?

We are  seeking a skilled Virtualization Engineer to join a small  team on a contract basis. As a Virtualization Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing virtualized environments using industry-leading technologies. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and work with a dynamic team of IT professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement virtualized environments using VMware or Hyper-V technologies.

• Consolidate physical servers into virtual machines, optimizing resource utilization.

• Monitor and manage virtual infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability.

• Configure and maintain virtual networks, storage, and virtual machine templates.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of virtualized systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization technologies.

• Perform regular backups, disaster recovery testing, and ensure system security.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Virtualization Engineer or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of VMware or Hyper-V virtualization technologies.

• Proficiency in designing and implementing virtualized environments.

• Familiarity with storage systems, networking, and server hardware.

• Solid understanding of backup and disaster recovery strategies.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to virtualization.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (or equivalent) are preferred.

• Duration: 6 months the 

• Work Schedule:Full time

• Location: Hybrid role based in Manchester city centre
