We're working with a logistics business that runs its core operations on IBM i. They need an experienced RPG developer to support their existing systems and deliver integrations to a new warehouse management system.
The work
- Design, build and test integrations between IBM i and the new WMS.
- Support and enhance existing logistics applications.
- Handle BAU support and incident resolution.
- Work closely with the in-house team and third-party WMS supplier through to go-live.
What you'll bring
- Strong commercial experience in RPG (ILE RPG or free-format) on IBM i / AS400.
- Solid DB2 for i and embedded SQL. CL experience is expected.
- A track record of building and testing integrations such as APIs, data feeds or file transfers.
- Logistics, warehousing or distribution systems experience is a strong advantage.
- Someone who can commit to the full six months and works well within a team.
