Test Manager – Manchester - £60k

If being in control of the entire testing agenda of a global software house that abides by an ethos of collaboration and innovation is something you like the sound of then read on. This Manchester based company owns a software product is of such high quality that they have never had to have outside investment to sustain their rapid growth. Their web base software has expanded in to mobile and this company is looking for an individual that will be able to harmonise all the software testers under one roof. As well as this recent expansion into mobile you will also be solely responsible for overseeing the testing of a brand new, yet-to-be-released product.

Being a software house, this company understands the importance of testing to development so you will be consulted and listened to on all aspect that touch testing. From the business impact and risk, to changes in staff numbers or technology. Your technical knowhow will be vital, but equally important will be your managerial skills. The company will be trusting you with full managerial responsibility from training and mentoring to hiring and bonus appraisals. You will be the top sign off on all of the documentation and procedural elements of software testing so you’ll have to be a stickler for detail!

Technical skills require:

-          Experience working in a software house.

-          Experience working with large scale released products.

-          Experience automating in a .NET environment

-          Preferably experience with Test Rail.

-          Preferably experience with Jira.

Managerial experience:

-          Stakeholder management.

-          Line manager.

-          Training and mentoring.

-          Appraisals.

-          Hiring.
