Forward Role are recruiting for a Midweight PHP Developer on behalf of a leading software publisher – founded by software engineers over 20 years ago they have gone on quite the journey!

In the last 10 years they’ve pivoted away from just building software for Windows, these days they create a lean, super-fast suite of apps for Mac, Windows and iPad.

The apps you work on here as a PHP Developer are used by millions of people all over the world, and have won some of the most prestigious awards going!

You’ll be joining a well established inhouse software development team of 25 that will be growing extensively this year – this role will see you working on existing and new projects primarily involving the e-commerce store including writing and supporting API’s which help facilitate various functionality across the site.

As a Midweight PHP Developer, you should have excellent knowledge of:

PHP7

MySQL

Git

Database ORMs

Building APIs / JSON

Bonus points for knowledge of Javascript (React, Angular or Vue), AWS and/or PHPUnit – if not, you can learn it here!

The salary for this PHP Developer role is between £40,000 to £47,000 plus 8% bonus, 27 days holiday, private medical insurance, life assurance x4, pension plan and more!

They offer flexible hybrid working, 2-3 days per week in the office in Nottingham.
