Designer – Luxury Menswear
Salary: Up to £36,000
Location: Bolton
Working pattern: Hybrid 4 days in 1 WFH
We’re working with an exciting luxury fashion brand to find a talented and commercially minded Designer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in jersey wear, technical design skills, and a passion for high-quality, future-thinking menswear.
This position will sit within the main category, working on core and legacy products that define the brand's identity. The ideal candidate will be highly creative, hands-on, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end product design: from concept through to tech pack creation, supporting development and production
- Interpret briefs with a strong understanding of brand DNA, market relevance, and commercial viability
- Produce high-quality CADs, Illustrator sketches, and tech packs for sampling and factory production
- Collaborate with the Head of DNA and Senior Designer to evolve existing products and develop new concepts
- Conduct trend, fabric, and competitor research through travel, trade fairs, and digital resources
- Support in fabric, trim, and logo development – with a focus on sustainable sourcing where possible
- Assist in fit sessions, garment reviews, and proto development alongside technical and product teams
- Maintain and update styles using PLM systems
- Travel as required for research or development (domestic and overseas)
- Contribute confidently in design direction meetings and work cross-functionally with graphics, product, and development teams
Key Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years’ experience in a design role, ideally within luxury or premium menswear
- Strong knowledge of jersey wear, garment construction, and product development processes
- Excellent technical design skills – including Adobe Illustrator, CAD drawing, and tech pack creation
- Confident interpreting and executing design briefs aligned to brand vision
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
- High taste level with a strong eye for detail and storytelling
- Experience working with PLM systems (desirable)
- Familiarity with CLO3D or other 3D design tools (preferred but not essential)
- A varied design background beyond just sportswear
- Passion for sustainability and progressive design thinking
