Role Overview
As a Senior Support Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimising secure, large-scale infrastructure. From proactive system monitoring to incident resolution and collaboration with engineering teams, you’ll ensure the seamless performance and security of essential systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for complex, live systems
- Monitor critical infrastructure to ensure optimal uptime and reliability
- Troubleshoot issues across Linux servers, applications, and cloud environments
- Work closely with development teams to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently
- Identify and mitigate technical risks
- Maintain clear documentation of incidents and solutions
- Implement DevOps and SRE best practices to drive system performance
Skills / Knowledge
You will have exposure to one of more of the following.
- Strong experience supporting live, mission-critical environments
- Deep knowledge of Linux server administration
- Skilled in log analysis using tools like Splunk or ELK stack
- Hands-on with tools and platforms such as: Apache NiFi, MinIO, AWS S3
- Java & Python applications (deployment, patching, support)
- Containerisation and deployment technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and prioritisation skills
