The role:
As an Events Exec, you’ll support the Events Manager to make sure everything runs smoothly, and events sponsors are happy with the event. Things move quickly in the lead-up, so you’ll need to stay calm under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and help sponsors get the most value from their investment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Help the Events Manager give sponsors the information they need and make sure everything agreed in their contract is delivered, like meeting content deadlines and arranging furniture or catering.
- Take care of your own group of clients from the start to the event day.
- Work with outside suppliers and the operations team.
- Keep client records up to date and use the event portal for reporting.
- Manage sponsor artwork files and help with overall event branding.
- Meet important deadlines and keep the Events Manager informed about progress or any problems.
- Let the team know about any risks or issues as soon as you spot them.
- Help the team with admin tasks during event planning.
What you will need:
- You’ve worked on big live events before, both during planning and onsite.
- You can work independently and take action to support sponsors and the team.
- You’re very organised, pay attention to details, and stay calm under pressure.
- You have strong admin skills and can handle a fast-paced environment with many moving parts.
- You work well with others and help the team during busy times.
- You’re great with clients, keeping communication smooth and solving problems quickly to build strong relationships.
