IT Support Technician | Salford | 34K

Forward Role is excited to be supporting a thriving e-commerce retailer based in Salford that are looking for an IT Support Technician to join their team. They've achieved incredible growth over recent years with industry recognition to prove it! Reporting to the head of IT, you'll be at the forefront of their expanding internal IT team. They're looking for someone ambitious and passionate who is seeking long-term career development.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years IT support experience across various business systems
  • Experience with hardware support, system troubleshooting, and IT security
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, O365, and Windows Server environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to train end-users, both in groups and one-on-one
  • Experience with business systems such as Sage 200, Linnworks, or Peoplevox is advantageous but transferable skills welcome

Role Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for technical issues and user inquiries
  • Resolve problems or escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support
  • Provide hardware support for PCs, Macs, handheld devices, printers, and networking, including configuration and repairs
  • Set up and maintain workstations and handle password resets
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventative measures
  • Document issues and resolutions for future reference and feedback
  • Liaise with third-party providers for second- and third-line support
  • Perform system administration, upgrades, and maintenance
  • Take a proactive approach to IT security and regulatory compliance

This role is 5 days on site in their modern Salford office with flexibility to choose your start and finish times, plus free on-site parking.
