Cloud Platform Engineer (National Security)

Location: Cheltenham (Hybrid)
Salary: £70,000–£95,000+ depending on experience
Clearance: Active eDV clearance required

This is the sort of environment where Platform Engineers work alongside Software, Cloud and Data teams rather than sitting in an operational silo. Engineers are trusted to make decisions, challenge ideas and contribute well beyond their job title.

You'll typically be working with:

• AWS
• Kubernetes
• Terraform
• Docker
• Linux
• CI/CD pipelines
• Python or Bash scripting
• Infrastructure as Code
• Cloud platform automation

The stack is modern, but what they're really hiring for is engineering mindset.

Curiosity. Pragmatism. Someone who enjoys solving problems with other good engineers rather than simply closing tickets.

Most of the work supports live National Security programmes, so active eDV clearance is essential. This isn't a role that can currently support sponsorship or candidates working towards clearance.
