We're working with an exciting, tech business based in Salford who are looking for an experienced Software Delivery Manager / Scrum Master to take ownership of their software delivery operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the business where you'll drive the successful delivery of innovative technology solutions.
The Role
As Software Delivery Manager / Scrum Master, you'll be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of software projects whilst serving as Scrum Master to a team of 3 developers working with a JavaScript technology stack.
You'll coordinate the delivery of new technology initiatives, combining delivery management with Agile facilitation, business analysis, and project management responsibilities. Acting as the crucial bridge between the technical team and business stakeholders, you'll translate needs into actionable delivery plans whilst maintaining an Agile, collaborative environment.

What We're Looking For?
- Proven experience as a Software Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, or similar role with accountability for delivery outcomes
- Strong understanding and practical application of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience facilitating and working with software development teams
- Ability to balance delivery accountability with servant-leadership principles
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Business analysis capabilities including requirements gathering, documentation, and backlog management
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Problem-solving mindset focused on removing obstacles and enabling team success
Desirable:
- Experience with JavaScript-based technology stacks and modern web development
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
- Business Analysis certification (BCS, IIBA, or similar)
- Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM, or similar)
- Experience delivering new technology implementations or digital transformation projects
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
You will be:
- Taking accountability for software delivery outcomes, ensuring projects meet quality, timeline, and scope requirements
- Serving as Scrum Master, facilitating all Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives)
- Removing blockers and impediments that hinder team productivity
- Gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements from stakeholders
- Translating business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Maintaining and refining the product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, and resource allocations
- Acting as the primary liaison between the development team and business stakeholders
- Monitoring project health, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies
- Providing regular status updates and transparent communication on progress
- Coaching the team on Agile principles and continuous improvement practices
- Fostering a collaborative, self-organising team environment
