Senior AI & Machine Learning Instructor – Apprenticeship & Commercial Delivery
Remote (UK) | £55,000 – £70,000 DOE | Full-time, 9am–5pm (occasional global sessions)

We’re looking for an experienced Senior AI & Machine Learning Instructor to support delivery across the Machine Learning Engineer (Level 6) Apprenticeship and wider commercial programmes.

What you’ll do
You’ll play a key role in helping learners and professionals build deep, practical ML capability. Day-to-day, you’ll:
✅ Deliver engaging teaching sessions covering the full ML lifecycle — data prep, model training, evaluation, deployment and monitoring at scale.
✅ Explain the maths behind ML models (linear algebra, calculus, probability, stats) in an accessible, engaging way.
✅ Support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey alongside Learner Success Coaches.
✅ Contribute to content and product development — creating learning materials, labs and workshops.
✅ Work closely with the Product and AI teams to grow the AI learning portfolio across apprenticeships, upskilling and reskilling.
✅ Ensure all delivery meets the standards expected by Ofsted, ESFA and other awarding bodies.
What we’re looking for
You’ll need to bring:
Strong industry experience in end-to-end ML projects — from data wrangling and model building to deployment and monitoring.
Confident teaching ability — whether you’ve formally taught, mentored or coached technical teams.
Mathematical depth — clear understanding of the theory behind ML algorithms.
Practical knowledge of tools like FastAPI, MLflow, Docker, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Excellent communication — able to simplify complex technical ideas for learners of mixed ability.
Bonus points for:

Experience with NLP/LLMs, Computer Vision or Generative AI

Formal teaching qualification or EPA assessor experience

Hands-on exposure to responsible AI or prompt engineering
