Manual QA Lead (Apps) - London, Hybrid (2 days per week) - £75k + Equity

I'm working with a rapidly growing tech startup to find their next Manual QA Lead. Quality is absolutely critical to their success, and they need a Manual QA Lead who can balance hands-on testing with leading a 7-person QA team. This isn't a role where you sit back and just manage. You'll be rolling up your sleeves daily triaging bugs, reproducing issues, testing user journeys whilst also mentoring your team and setting the QA strategy.

What You'll Need:
- 5+ years in QA with significant manual testing experience
- 2+ years testing mobile apps (iOS/Android)
- 2+ years line management experience
- Strong track record building and leading QA teams
- Experience with test management tools (Qase) and project management platforms (Linear/Jira)
- Comfortable working in Agile environments alongside developers
Day-to-Day:
- Plan releases and prioritise work based on the roadmap
- Mentor and guide the QA team
- Triage bugs and ensure critical issues are resolved quickly
- Reproduce user-reported bugs with clear reproduction steps
- Test common user journeys to ensure they're smooth and problem-free
- Use the right tools to streamline the QA process
Bonus Points:
- Mobile test automation experience
- API testing (Postman, curl)
- Testing experience on both iOS and Android
- SQL for test data collection
- Startup experience
