Solution Architect – National Security
Location – London, Milton Keynes or Cheltenham - hybrid
Salary - £85,000 - £110,000 + excellent package
Clearance – eDV clearance required
We're seeking several Solution Architects to lead the design of mission-critical systems in the National Security space. You’ll act as the key link between business needs and technical delivery, guiding solutions from concept to execution with clarity, resilience, and technical depth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business, functional, and non-functional requirements into practical, end-to-end technical solutions.
- Design architectures covering applications, data, infrastructure, integration, and security.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and platforms fit for purpose.
- Support multiple teams, finding and using best practice and emerging technologies
- Be responsible for governance, solving complex and high-risk issues or delivering architecture design
- Collaborate on multiple projects with several customers
- Present solutions and technical trade-offs to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
Desirable Experience and Skills:
- Experience delivering digital solutions in the Public Sector, National Security, or Defence.
- Background in software development, systems engineering, or technical analysis.
- Cross-domain knowledge in applications, data, infrastructure, and security architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially AWS) and modern architectural patterns.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and the full SDLC.
- Strong grasp of security principles and risk management in tech environments.
- Detail-oriented, analytical thinker who can balance complexity with clarity.
Clearance required – Due to the nature of the clients’ work, you are required to hold an eDV level security clearance
