Data Insight Analyst – SQL & Python

Forward Role are delighted to be recruiting for a leading FinTech platform seeking an experienced Data Insight Analyst to join their expanding Data function. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a data-driven environment where your insights will directly influence strategic decision-making and business performance.
As a Data Insight Analyst you'll transform complex datasets into compelling narratives that drive product development, enhance customer experiences, and improve operational performance. Working collaboratively, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing analytical frameworks and embedding data excellence throughout the organisation.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Utilise data from various sources to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities that inform business strategy
- Build and maintain automated reporting solutions
- Create compelling visualisations and dashboards that make complex information accessible
- Partner with teams across Product, Technology, Operations, and Commercial functions to understand their analytical requirements
- Apply advanced analytical techniques including segmentation, statistical modelling, and forecasting to solve business challenges
- Conduct multi-channel analysis to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Track campaign effectiveness and customer journey metrics
- Utilise AI/ML platforms to augment analytical capabilities and productivity
- Champion data literacy and analytical thinking across the business
Skills & Experience:
- Previous data analytics experience, working in a digital / commercial environment
- Strong SQL and Python skills are essential
- Data visualisation & report creation – Power BI / Looker etc.
- General understanding or exposure to a variety of tools and techniques such as Google Cloud Platform/GA4, Snowflake, CRO/AB Testing, Statistical Modelling, Segmentation, Machine Learning and AI would be desirable, but not essential.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to present data stories to non-technical audiences
- Managing stakeholder relationships and influencing decision-makers
- Experience delivering data projects from conception to completion
