The Opportunity
I’m working with a long-established, family-run B2C business that’s quietly doing big things in the digital space - and they’re now investing heavily in SEO to future-proof their online presence.
They’ve rebuilt their website from the ground up, and with AI and LLM-driven search changing the SEO game, they’re looking for a Technical SEO Executive who can take the reins on site health, performance, and technical optimisation.
This isn’t a “just run a few audits” kind of role - it’s a hands-on position for someone who genuinely loves the technical side of SEO: code, structure, schema, site speed, and all the techy bits that make Google (and ChatGPT!) happy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the technical health of multiple websites — ensuring every page is crawlable, indexable, and lightning fast.
- Conduct regular site audits across crawl, speed, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals.
- Implement structured data (Schema) to enhance visibility and LLM discoverability.
- Manage sitemaps, redirects, robots.txt, and canonical tags with confidence.
- Collaborate on new pages and features, working closely with SEO, content, and dev teams.
- Monitor performance through GA4, SEMrush, and Search Console, spotting trends before anyone else.
- Help shape the content strategy through technical insights and keyword analysis.
- Stay ahead of the curve on AI and entity-based search — a key focus for the business in 2025.
About You
- 2+ years’ experience in SEO, ideally with a technical or hybrid background.
- Strong working knowledge of WordPress (Elementor) and confidence editing code (HTML, CSS, PHP).
- You understand Core Web Vitals, mobile-first indexing, crawl budgets, and site architecture inside out.
- Experience using SEMrush, GA4, and GSC.
- Bonus points if you’ve explored LLM optimisation, structured data, or JavaScript SEO.
- Analytical by nature, with a curious mind and a “find and fix” mentality.
