Data Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to support a large-scale data migration and modernisation programme. You’ll work hands-on to migrate, transform, and load data from legacy systems into a modern Azure-based data platform, building robust pipelines and transformations along the way.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Develop transformations and models using dbt.
• Process and structure data with Azure Databricks.
• Extract, transform, and reconcile data from SQL Server and legacy systems.
• Support data mapping, cleansing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Document pipelines and transformation processes.

Skills & Experience

• Strong Data Engineering experience, ideally in migration or transformation programmes.
• Hands-on with Azure Databricks, ADF, and dbt.
• Advanced SQL skills (SQL Server).
• Experienced in building reliable, scalable data pipelines.
• Able to work independently and deliver quickly.
• Nice to have -  Legacy-to-Azure migrations, Power BI, enterprise data environment experience.
