After graduating from Lancaster University with a BSc in Marketing, followed by an MSc in Information Management, I started my career in marketing, joining the Co-operative Bank as Product Manager and working as a Marketing Analyst for the Shop Direct Group, before launching Forward Role in 2008.

Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength, growing turnover and staff numbers year on year, and recruiting for some of the UK’s leading brands and agencies including AO.com, Boohoo.com, JD Sports, KMPG and Ocado.

Now based in central Manchester, the team stands at 50+ people, making it the biggest digital and marketing recruiter in the North and a major player on the national & international stage.

I head up Forward Role’s FR Executive division, recruiting senior and board level candidates across marketing and digital disciplines for some of the UK’s biggest brands.

Outside of work my 2 boys, Cooper and Carter, keep me busy and I’m currently battling with a rogue golf swing as I try and get back into a sport I haven’t played regularly since I was 16.

5 quick questions

1. Favourite boxset of all time

Band of Brothers. Dick Winter has to be one of the greatest leaders of all time and watching the veterans talk at the end of every episode, gets me every time.

2.  Tipple of choice

Currently drinking the gluten free version of Estrella – convincing myself that the gluten is what is giving me my dad bod.

3.  Spirit animal

Tasmanian devil – saw one in a zoo in Australia once, and they never rest. I’m similar. 'Always on' and terrible at concentrating on one thing for more than 20 minutes.

4.  Favourite album

The Beatles – Abbey Road. The first album I played on my parents record player. I’ve loved it ever since, especially ‘Something’ which is my favourite song of all time.

5. Talent for…

All bar sports. Mainly pool, darts and a good quiz. I certainly wouldn’t call that a miss-spent youth!
